Who's behind SACREBLEU?

Hi! My name is William Le Dean, and I’m approaching my forties. I’m the self-taught artisan behind Sacrebleu Handcrafted. Originally from Brittany, France, my journey has taken me across the globe, through Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and North America. After spending six years in the Yukon, I’ve been inspired by these travels and my love for nature, and now I call Vancouver Island home.

Why Sacrebleu?

"Sacrebleu" is an old French expression, primarily used as an exclamation of surprise or astonishment. It was once a euphemism for a stronger curse word, and though it's somewhat outdated today, it still evokes a dramatic or theatrical tone, much like saying "My God!" or "What a surprise!" Named to honor my French heritage, Sacrebleu Handcraft embodies my journey, my craft, and my commitment to creating timeless pieces that tell a story.
